Sand Hill Fatwood is not only the best natural fire starter available, but a piece of history which has been used for over 200 years. Fatwood splits easily, repels water and burns for long periods of time. These fatwood are strips of wood super saturated (but dry & clean to the touch) with resin or "gum" from the Longleaf Pine tree. This fatwood comes from the center (or heartwood) of old felled trees where pine sap was collected a hundred years ago. These stumps, when cut, sized and split make your 100% safe, all natural wood fire starter.

Each bag is 4 lb and contain approximately 75-80 fatwood sticks.
